Basic Japanese to use when you travel to Japan

Hope this guide or translation will help you when you are travelling / backpacking alone / in group.
It is not a pain to remember one things or two.

It is easy and not as hard as you think!

So let's learn a little bit of Japanese that you will probably use when traveling in Japan

Irasshaimase. Nan-mei-sama desuka?
Welcome! How many people?

Go-chuumon wa.
What would you like to order?

Nani ni nasaimasu ka.
What would you like to have?

O-nomimono wa ikaga desu ka.                      
Would you like anything to drink?

Kochira de meshiagarimasu ka, omochikaeri desu ka.
Will you eat here, or take it out?

Okimaridesu ka.                          
 Have you decided?

Do you have a single room?/dorm          
Singuru rūmu wa ari masuka? /Aibeya wa

Double rooms are full.                          
 Daburu rūmu wa manshitsu desu.

Dormitory room is for 4 persons.            
yonin-yō desu.

 I am sorry to have kept you waiting      
Omatase shimashita.

Atatamemasen-ka?=Would u like this heated?
Atatamete kudasai." (Please warm it up).
daijobu desu / sono mamade (no need)
I am lost                        Maigo ni natte shimai mashita
I want to meet up there with my friend            soko ni watashi no yūjin to aimasu
where is toilet?           toire wa doko desu ka?
how much is it?          kore wa ikura desu ka.

4 persons.    Yo-nin desu.
Do you have a menu?           Menyuu (ga) arimasu ka.
Do you have sake?                Nihon su ga arimasu ka.
What is that?                         Are wa nan desu ka.
It looks good, doesn't it?        Oishishou desu ne.
Can I have the same dish as that?          Are to onaji mono o kudasai.

Donna dezaato ga arimasu ka.
What kind of desserts do you have?

Osusume no mono ga arimasu ka.
Do you have anything to recommend?

Dore ga osusume desu ka.
Which do you recommend?

Mou sukoshi matte kudasai.
Can you give me a little more time?

Sumimasen, mada kimete imasen.
I am sorry, I haven't decided yet.

Ato dono gurai kakarimasu ka.
How long will it take?

Ima nanji desu ka.

hitotsu, futatsu, mitsu, yotsu, itsutsu, mutsu, nanatsu, yatsu, kokonotsu. (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)
onegaishimasu, kudasai, Sumimasen. (please)
 Sushi o kudasai.  (Can I have sushi?)
 Tenpura ni shimasu.  (I will have tenpura.)
Watashi mo biiru.  (I will have a beer, too.)
1,000 yen ni narimasu.  (The total is 1,000 yen.)
 Iie, kekkou desu. (No, Thank you)
___ wa doko deshou ka?/doko ni arimasuka?  (Where is __?)
Kono chikaku ni ____ ga arimasu ka? (Is there any __ nearby?)
kono, sono, ano, dono (+ko / soko, chira)
Nihongo o hotondo hanasemasen. (I can hardly speak Japanese.)
Nihongo ga yoku dekinai kara yukkuri hanashite kudasai. (speak slowly pls)
koban (police station), keisatsu (police)
 (onaka suita) / (hara hetta) hungry
Pasupoto/saifu(wallet) o NAKUSHIMASHITA (I lost my passport )
百 (hyaku) = 100.
千 (sen) = 1,000.
万 (man) = 10,000.
