2PM IS COMING BACK WITH A SWAG!
Whats up hottest? It has been so long right for us to finally get our comeback. Korean boy group 2PM released the music video for “Make It” along with their seventh mini-album Must on Monday, June 28, after a five-year hiatus.
In 2018, Taec-yeon left 2PM’s agency JYP Entertainment. Despite being in a different agency, he said he will still continue activities with the group. “It’s important that the members stay in contact and also build trust with the agencies. It’s important that you understand each other’s situations,” he said.
It seems he is a man with his word, cause now, they're finally back as full team members. (Despite Jay park, obviously). Member Junho was the last to enter the army, so he was also the last to be discharged. But despite that, they really fulfill their promise to their fans, to reunite and make a come back as full personal.
With their return to the music scene, 2PM just made history the first second-generation idol group to make a comeback as a whole team after a five-year hiatus. However, it should be noted that the main reason for their short disappearance in the industry was the mandatory enlistment in the army.
As the band grew older and the attention of the K-pop world turned towards shiny new young artists from the third and fourth generation of idols, 2PM seemed bound to lose a bit of their spark. Then came the inevitable military service enlistment, which put the boyband on hiatus for nearly half a decade. But finally, five years after their last album, 2016’s ‘Gentlemen’s Game’, 2PM have reunited to remind everyone that they’re still around.
"It feels strange to be returning after such a long time," Chansung said. "We are grateful just for the fact that we had people waiting for our comeback and that we were given a chance to do so."
Taecyeon also noted that this is a meaningful album because this is the first album that they are releasing in their 30s. He noted that in their 20s, they had released youthful and energetic tracks, and now they are presenting a more mature concept that shows their age.
Have you watch their new comeback mv, Make it [MUST]?
