KOREAN ACTOR WHO JUST RECENTLY OUT FROM MILITARY

1. Baek Sunghyun

The actor entered the Naval Education & Training Command center on this day for basic training. He will be serving his time as a member of the Korea Coast Guard for 23 months. Baek Sung Hyun began his mandatory military service on January 2, 2018 as part of the Korea Coast Guard.

After the drunk driving incident in October, Baek Sung Hyun submitted to a police investigation as well as the Coast Guard’s disciplinary committee. The police found him not guilty, but the Coast Guard recommended strict punishments when it came to drunk driving and aiding in drunk driving. His agency sidusHQ also revealed a short clip and photo of the actor as he entered the military on January 2. Since his military discharge and wedding, Baek Sung Hyun was busy taking care of his wife and child, thus he was unable to return as an actor.

2. Hong Jong Hyun

Hong Jong Hyun enlisted in the military today. On December 2, Hong Jong Hyun enlisted at the Nonsan Army Recruit Training Center in South Korea. On June 17, the actor’s agency C-JeS Entertainment shared, “Hong Jong Hyun, who enlisted as an active duty soldier in December 2019, was discharged in good health today after completing his military service of one year and six months.”

Hong Jong Hyun debuted as a model in 2007 and began his acting activities with the 2008 film “A Frozen Flower.” He most recently starred in SBS’s “Absolute Boyfriend” and KBS’s “Mother of Mine.”

Hong Jong Hyun commented via his agency, “I have been discharged after successfully completing my military service. There were difficult times in the military, but they were times that allowed me to have valuable experiences more than anything.

3. Lee Jong Suk

Actor Lee Jong Suk proved his Hallyu star status as he gathered 20,000 fans in five Asian countries and seven cities in his recently concluded '2016-2017 Lee Jong Suk Fan Meeting. Lee Jong Suk was discharged from the military at the start of the year. The Pinocchio actor had enlisted in March 2019. He was a public service worker owing to his ruptured ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) caused by a car accident as a teenager. Lee Jong Suk was recently discharged from the military earlier this month. The actor enlisted in March 2019 as a public service worker. Many of his fans are eager to see the actor play as main lead in K drama again.
