Fatih, beyazit and yenikapi also great too.

A great balance between tourist area and great shopping experience. There is a long shopping street called istiklal street nearby. Since it’s the second top with touristic destination, such as taksim square and dolmahbace palace, the price is also high here. Yet you can find anything here, the street is lively from morning to midnight, there is cafe and bar around, the night life is great.

3. Kadikoy

Hidden gem of istanbul, if you visit istanbul try to stay here and you will feel grateful later. There is no popular tourist destination nearby, but this area offers you so much more! You might need to cross the sea to go to Europe side, but there is a lot of option, from ferry, bus to marmaray train. The price is low, many diverse varieties of high quality restaurants that local went to, the night life is alive and you can find everything here except tourist attractions.
