STRONG AND CRAZY FEMALE CHARACTERS THAT YOU MISS DEARLY

Which female character should be on the list of STRONG AND  CRAZY FEMALE CHARACTERS  THAT YOU MISS DEARLY? Well, often we got many K drama heroine who is weak and need the protection of prince charming in a white horse, but on another case, sometimes we got a charming strong female lead who actually stands up for herself and contribute to her own destiny. They don't need a man to get what they want, yet they support the man and become better together. In another case, there is a female villain who actually manage to stole the viewers heart since they're more interesting to follow. Here are several female characters that suit the criteria:

1. Kim so yong of Mr. QUEEN

Or I will correct it and say it is Jang Bong-Hwan. The story revolves around a man from the modern age who becomes involved in a freak accident, and wakes up to find that his soul ended up in the body of the Joseon dynasty's newly married queen. The perfect acting and transition between Choi Jin-Hyuk character to Shin hye sun is so flawless. Thanks to Shin hye sun acting skill, she successfully bring a comedic queen who seems like have a male soul inside. Jang free spirit, somehow finds its way into the body of Queen Kim So-Yong (Shin Hye-Sun) in the Joseon period. The craziness that is so out of the time bring the drama fun to watch. Especially when the actor who play as the king, Kim Junghyun, also do a great job to reciprocate the acting of Shin hye sun. Both of the main lead did awesome job to portray their own role in comedic ways. I bet Shin hye sun will definitely get another award for her appearance in this drama, as it gains her a lot of new international fans, thanks to this drama. Although getting a lot of criticism for the bluntness of drama, for "belittling" the designated national treasure. About 700 people have filed complaints over the issue with the Korea Communications Standards Commission. The series' exaggerated portrayal of its characters, named after known historical figures, also stirred anger. Netizens are accusing the drama of mocking Korean history and distorting it irresponsibly. In one scene, the queen was accused of sexualizing the historical records regarding the royal family's relations. In another, the drama including a joking comment about royal ancestral rituals at the Jongmyo Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In another scene, a courtesan house was named satirically poking fun at the infamous 'Burning Sun' controversy. Yet, this drama still get higher rating in each new episodes and take the first seat on its airtime.

2. Jo yiseo from Itaewon Class

Say good bye to a weak female character, because in this drama, itaewon class, there is none. Even the opposite female lead who will become the rival of love is also not a weak character. Itaewon Class tells the story of Park Sae Royi who built a food shop business called DanBam. The goal is revenge, to Jangga's company or rather president Jang Dae Hee and his son Jang Geun Won who made Saeroyi's life suffer. In his journey to take Janga down, he meets Jo yiseo. It's his blessing. During Middle School, Yi Seo was very competitive and didn't want anyone to get in the way of his goals.

He will do everything he can to achieve his goals. Apart from that Yi Seo is very smart and has an IQ of 162. He is also a well-known social media influencer and influential blogger. Later she joins Park Sae-Ro-Yi's restaurant and works there as a manger since she has feelings for Park Sae-Ro-Yi and knows that He likes another girl. Yiseo choose a long way and gamble her life to Sae royi. In the end Jo yiseo ends up getting the love of Sae royi back, as he moved on from his first love of 10 years.

3. Ko moon young, of It’s okay not to be okay

K-drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” is a story of healing and learning to deal with past traumas of mental health issues.  One word to depict perfectly of her character is: Crazy. Thanks to her crazy mother that create a huge tragedy in the pass, Ko Moon young grow as a heartless empty princess. . It is known that Moon Gang-Tae tells her that she is like a empty tin can who can't feel emotions which means that she lacks the warmth to know or feel emotions. Moon-young’s aura of enigma and lavish wardrobe (her stylist needs a raise) gives off heavy Jang Man-wol (from “Hotel del Luna”) vibes. She is a much deeper and darker character than the stereotypical female lead. The romance between Gang-tae and Moon-young was actually some type of melodramatic fun. I loved how, for the first half of the show, she was constantly challenging him, poking at him, totally reading him like a book. He’s been putting on a brave smile and gritting through the pain of life, hoping for the best but expecting the worst, faking it till he makes it. She preys on the fact that he wants to let go, live life, have fun, and ditch responsibilities.

4. Jang man wol from hotel del luna

A role reversal for a typical kdrama. Jang Manwol is a female lead character with so much blatant flaws, is arrogant, selfish, petty, greedy, short tempered personality. Not to mention that she always looks flawless in different varieties of clothes.  Man-wol isn’t the sweet, bubbly and naive woman that many dramas showcase. IU's portrayal of Man Wol was pretty spot on, she managed to portray this hardened, cold, boss that still has an innocence to her and is still very much young in some aspects, despite the character being 1000 years old. After 1000 years she still did everything she could to get money, she wanted the lavish life that she used to kill and plunder for but the only difference is she now used other ways to get her riches. In the end, even after 1000 years, her goal was money, and this was represented very well until a big change happened. Not to forget the character development that is happening in the later episode when Man wol finally erase her hatred.

5. Veronica Park from the secret life of my secretary

Kim Jae-kyung as Veronica Park give the drama more interesting to watch, as she add comedic aspect on the drama. She often speaks in English with her  unique accent. If you watch the drama, you will for sure recall her iconic snobby sentences: "Veronica Park speaking" and "Awesome". Kim JaeKyung acts perfectly and everything about her is exaggerated. The way she walks, talks, her fashion, the way she ends her calls, etc. Her manners are too much and that is making her look hilarious. She is totally scandalous.

6. Cheon song yi from my love from another star

Probably the original of crazy funny female lead. Jeon Ji-Hyun brought her character Cheon Song-Yi to life perfectly. She was emotional, outrageous, hilarious and so relatable. When we're first introduced to Song-Yi she seems to be just a bratty star obsessed with herself. Cheon Song Yi is a dazzling Hallyu Star. She wears a new shade of lipstick and the next day, everyone is wearing that shade too. She’s smart, talented, and ambitious—and hopelessly in love with an alien. Cheon Song Yi is a perfect example of how to create a female character that’s been blessed by prosperity but who is still likable and relatable

7. Choi soji from the great seducer

Thanks to her strong appearance, many viewers of great seducer even thinks that it's better if the drama focus more on the trio, and end up make Choi soji as the main heroine despite Eun tahee character. Sooji is talented, beautiful and smart: she's top of her year, she plays the cello gracefully and there's no need to talk about her great looks; heck she looks awesome and every single outfit, going from innocent to sexy with seemingless effort. She always strives to be number 1 where she can be through her effort, whether it be academics or anything else. Ever since her father was arrested, Sooji barely trusts anyone, aside from Shi Hyun and Sejoo. She doesn't have any other close friends apart from those two, and her relationship with her mother is constantly strained, even more so when she decides to marry Shi Hyun's dad, seeing it as an act of betrayal towards her father.

What contradicts this fact is that, she easily trusts her art teacher and that rich dude who only dates her due to her mom's intervention. It seems as though Sooji is looking for love and warmth from someone else, and would easily trust her heart to that person.

Throughout the series, we also see how often she asks both her friends that they would always stay by her side no matter what; she's scared of them leaving her as well.
