1. Han ji pyeong from Start up

Who haven't watch start up? The drama that tells a story of group who want to build their own company or become a CEO. This youthful drama is full of young passionate love, giving knowledge and introduction to start up life. As this drama progress with a strong second male lead, it is not a surprised that Han ji pyeong would steal many viewers heart. Not like many K drama second male lead, The character himself was introduced first, even before the main male lead aka the end game is introduced in the ending of episode 1. The attachment that he made early to the heroine, the romance set up that build slowly, make everyone adore the relationship, yet know that it won't end like what they want it to be. After all, it has been destined that second male lead always have tragic love story, unrequited love and be single for the rest of the drama. With his with and good boy attitude, Han jipyeong show a compassionate love without asking for anything to return. His selfless character make everyone keep supporting this character even knowing that they will lose in the end. The result of poll in term of popularity between the male lead and the second lead is huge too, have 80% more support than the actual main lead. 2. Kim hae il - The fiery priest

Kim nam gil is a versatile actor, who often plays interesting strong male characters, so it's hard to pick only one. But if we need to pick, I think his character in Fiery pries as Kim hae ill will take the cake. Kim Nam Gil plays Father Kim Hae Il, a priest with a dark past and an even darker attitude. No priest in real life would be like Kim Hae il. He is fearless and actually an ex special agent NIS. Not only did Father Kim charm viewers with his surprising bad temper as a priest, but other characters have also caught viewers’ attention with their hilarious actions. When anger fills up Father Kim’s head, no matter where he’s at, he goes, “Darn it!” But he doesn’t forget to pray after that. You need to watch it yourself to get a glimpse of how unique the character is.

3. Goo Dong Mae from “Mr. Sunshine”

He was born as a Baekjeong's son. Baekjeong people were not even regarded as human. The daughters and wives of Baekjeong were boastfully raped, and while Baekjeong's men hold the knives, they could not wield them on anybody. It was humiliating everyday. This tragic second lead is so tragic that make viewers feels sad toward him and hope that the author might give him a happier ending.

4. Sweet home - Kim nam hee, the katana guy

Even there is ton of interesting characters in K drama, Sweet home, but we can deny that the death of this character, Kim nam hee, really make everyone sad or can't let go feeling. After all, his character managed to become one of cool character in the entire series and build chemistry toward other characters in the drama, the mafia looking guy and the guitarist girl. Not to forget that in every action movies, many character who brings a katana always ends up being so cool anyway.

5. Han yi sang - oh my baby

Han Yi-Sang (Ko Jun) works as a freelancer photographer. He continuously looks for hobbies that will make him happy. He complains about pretty much everything, but he is enthusiastic with his work. With his sad background with his last partner who end up left him alone because infertility issue, Han yisang decide not to get married or falling in love ever again. Yet, Jang hari comes to his life and stole his interest, give his life more spark and color, bring his pass self back. His small actions and sweet personality really just different compare to any other K drama lead. He is more mature and realistic to our life setting.

6. Lee hyuk - The last empress

The main male lead who is actually not a good person somehow thanks to his bad father parenting. He is evil and has his own agenda, yet he is kinda redeem himself in the later episodes and make viewers in complicated feelings. Shin Sung-rok as Emperor Lee Hyuk – Emperor of the Korean Empire. A powerful ruler who is well-respected by the people. He is talented and eloquent, but beneath his pleasant appearance lies an ugly personality.  SBS’s “The Last Empress” has given us more twists and turns than we ever thought possible over the last few episodes. Hyuk’s character arc was never very clear-cut, as he always struggled between the sociopathic terror that his family had raised him into and the good person that Sunny (Jang Nara) inspired him to want to become. Evil as he may have been at times, Hyuk loved and admired Sunny because he recognized what a purely good person she was, and there is some redemption for the Emperor.

7. W - Kang chul

The unreal character from comic books that become alive and change the heroine boring life, Kang chul. The lead character of the popular comic series W. Calm, cool-minded and hardworking. He is the co-ceo of the e-commerce company JN Global, owner of broadcasting channel W and an Olympic gold medalist in shooting in his youth. Everything seems perfect as he is also good looking. Yet, there is another flaw on his pass, that he has some tragic background history, that all his family is getting murdered by mysterious killer. Kang Chul seeks vengeance on the Murderer through his broadcasting channel W. When he is stabbed on the rooftop of his penthouse by the Murderer, he meets Oh Yeon-joo who saves his life and with whom he falls in love. He begin realize that his world is fake and able to go out from the comic books world for his love toward the main heroine.

8. Flower of evil Baek Hee sung

Who hasn't compliment Lee jun gi's acting? He is already known as veteran actor who have great acting skill and versatile to play many different role under his belt. He perfectly played Baek Hee-Sung who seems like a committed husband and father, but he hides his cruel past and lives under another person's identity. His sociopath tendency are well portrayed and his inner struggle to express his own emotion as someone who false accuse as monster, really give empathy toward his character. On this drama it is the second time Lee jun gi acts with Moon chae woon who is actually a good actress as well. On flower of evil, we got a main male character who seemingly bad at the beginning, yet have a pure soul in the end.
