KPOP IDOLS WHO ONLY RAISED BY A SINGLE PARENT

Almost everyone must have their own bitter stories, including the KPop idols. Behind their glamorous performances, many KPop idols also have sad history, one of which is about family. Some of these idols below were raised by single parents, either because of divorce, or sickness that claimed the lives of their parents.

But these idols only get strong with it and didn't let that bring them down and dissolve in sadness,. They use this as strength to achieve success. Here are six idols who survived their difficulties and become the top idols:

1. Kim Sejeong Gugudan

Behind the cheerful personality that she often shows on a variety show, Gugudan member and former Produce 101 participant, Kim Sejeong, has a bitter story about her family. Sejeong's parents divorced when he was a child, and until she was in junior high school, Sejeong claimed she had never met or communicated with her father.

Together with her older brother, she was raised by her mother alone with quite an alarming and difficult situation. His mother had to work so hard and land various jobs in order to support Sejeong and her brother. They even had to live with her aunt because they did not have enough money to rent a house.

2. Kang Daniel

Born as the only child, it turns out that Daniel grew up and was raised by a mother who became a single parent after divorce with his father when Daniel was a child.

He also admitted that he had always lived a difficult life and experienced severe financial problems. Although YoonA tried to keep the story alone and rarely shared the exact story, the idols never shared any story about her biological mother because she didn't have enough meaningful memories with her in the first place.

4. Sunmi

Another former member of Wonder Girls, Sunmi, and her two brothers are known to have been raised by her father alone. Since she was in grade 4 elementary school, Sunmi had to work hard to make money to pay for her father's hospital fee. Her father was suffering from tuberculosis and the complications. So Sunmi is the one who needs to shoulder the financial problem of the family. Unfortunately, Sunmi's father had to die three months before she successfully became a JYP Entertainment trainee.

5. Bambam GOT7

Not because of divorce, the reason why Bambam from GOT7's mother was forced to raise her son alone was because of his husband were death due to illness, when bambam is only 3. This mother really deserves to be called a tough woman because she managed to raise 4 children and given a proper education to all of them. Bambam also have 3 other siblings. Even in the JTBC program "Where Is My Friend's Home?" One of GOT7 member, Jackson, once showed his admiration for Bambam's mother because she successfully raised four children alone.

6. Ahn Sohee ex-Wonder Girls

Without a mother, Ahn Sohee lived with her father and sister since she was 4 years old. Because of her parents divorce, Ahn Sohee's life also become difficult. Especially after her father lost his job. Before her success, she even once helped her father to deliver milk around the house to help meet the needs of the family.
