1. SUPER M / NCT/ WAYV Lucas troublesome dating life

Nowadays, one by one your favorite idols face scandal due to illegal behavior or their personal time. Due to some rumors that sparks recently online, SM entertainment finally stood a stance and give proper follow up. On August 23, a Korean netizen claiming to be Lucas’s ex-girlfriend uploaded a post on her social media and accused him of gaslighting and being a gold digger. As you may know, Kris, ex EXO also face similar situation, but even worse because he was alleged raping teens. What comes to Lucas is much lighter than Kris's scandal, but it might interest many netizen. He is accused have double girlfriend and act as ungrateful gold digger.

The victims (ex gf) posted: she had been a fan of Lucas until he approached her and they began dating. According to her, Lucas gaslighted her with words like, “I don’t like that you’re too much like a fan,” and “Don’t be a fan of an idol anymore,” when he was breaking up with her due to his busy schedule. When the rumor spread even bigger, another netizen from Korea also shared that he has been hang out with her at the same time. This means that Lukas might be cheating between the two.

A' began to tell her story by saying, "At first, Lucas expressed his interest in me and got my number, so we started dating. But suddenly, he said he was having a difficult time because of his schedule and asked to break up, so I broke up with him without any hard feelings. But the problem began here. The next day, Lucas told me he missed me, and said we should stay friends. But whenever he had days off, he would come to my apartment or a hotel, and make me pay for everything. Of course, it was the same way even while we were dating. He even told me to go buy him cigarettes. On days that I didn't buy it, he would tell me 'Why didn't you buy it? I thought it's a given that you would buy it'. He also said that because he's a celebrity, he can't go outside nor use his card or he'll get caught by his manager."

'A' further stated, "I bought him a lot of luxury brand gifts so he would initially say thank you and wear them. But at a certain point, he would say he earns a lot of money, so if I'm not buying him a house or car, to not give him anything. He even gaslighted me by telling me I was the only person who understood him. Often times, he would send me a photo of the hotel he wanted to go to, and tell me to make the reservation. Every time, he would eat from room service and sleep all day, and then just leave. As soon as we checked out, he would cut off contact, draw the line and tell me I was burdensome, never said thank you, and took for granted that I was paying for everything."

'A' added, "After telling me we should break up because he's busy, he would add many hurtful words such as 'I don't like you because you're like a fan' and 'From now on, don't do things like an idol fan does'. Thus, I suffered from depression for a while. I liked him so much that while dating I never once asked if we could take a picture together and never told anyone, including my friends."

Lucas has now posted an apology on Instagram as follows:

"This is Lucas.

I sincerely apologize to those hurt by my wrongdoings. If given the opportunity, I would like to apologize personally.

I also sincerely apologize to the fans, who have been giving me a lot of love and support, because of this incident.

When looking at the situation over the past few days, I looked back on my past actions and truly reflected on myself. Looking back on my past behavior, it was definitely wrong, and I was irresponsibly throwing away the support fans have given me for a long time.

Once again, I would like to say sorry to everyone who feels disappointed in my actions. In order for this to not happen again, I will suspend all planned activities to have time to reflect.

Lastly, I apologize to my members, company staff, various business partners, and broadcast station officials as well for causing harm.

I am truly sorry."

Due to this personal scandal, SM inform to fans that he is under hiatus for reflection. SM Entertainment released a statement to announce that Lucas would be halting his activities to reflect on his actions. WayV's Lucas is reportedly heading to China after his 'gaslighting and money leeching' controversy.

But some fans has found out that some of the accusation toward Lucas is edited and not true.

2. RED VELVET JOY CAUGHT UP DATING HER SENIOR, CRUSH

K-pop girl group Red Velvet’s Joy is confirmed to be dating R&B and hip-hop singer Crush, according to statements from their management agencies on Monday (Aug 23). This sudden news obviously surprised casual red velvet fans, but they're giving best wishes to the new couple.

Red Velvet’s agency, SM Entertainment, and Crush’s P Nation both said: “They had a senior-junior relationship, but they recently began dating with good feelings towards each other.”

Joy, 24, who made her debut in the popular girl group in 2014, collaborated with Crush, 29, on a chart-topping single, Mayday, in May last year.

3. RED VELVET IRENE RUDE BEHAVIOR SCANDAL

a stylist/editor posted about an anonymous idol that they had worked with said some harsh things to them that had hurt them and made them feel humiliated. They also claimed they was bossed around unfairly. They used the hashtags #psycho and #monster which pointed towards Seulgi or Irene since these are titles of songs from Red Velvet/ Irene+Seulgi subunit. People then began to suspect it was Irene because the same stylist back in 2016 had praised Irene and complimented her in a post but that post had been deleted.

Netizens were quick to notice some of the individuals who reacted to the post that had gone viral. Other fashion editors, some of the biggest photographers in the industry, models and former stylists had liked the post, while someone claiming to be an industry insider showed support for the editor in the comments section.

The heated controversy not only revealed what might have happened behind closed doors, but it also sparked larger conversations about the deep-rooted “gapjil” culture in Korean society, where some people in positions of power display an attitude of self-importance around others. Later, SM released information that Irene met with the stylist in person today and apologized to them. The post made by the stylist is now deleted.
