KPOP DUO GROUP THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW AND LISTEN TO THE SONG

The KPop music industry has become increasingly crowded by the presence of new idol groups. Most groups contain 5 or more members, there is a group that even have members more than 10. Of course this could be either a negative and a positive thing, given the influence of KPop music which is now increasingly widespread. General people might be hard to remember all the members name, but for some die hard fans, it's an easy task. Yet, for some people who prefer little to small group that consist only 2 person, this is a good news for you. Of the many KPop idol groups, there are some that only contain two group members, aka the group duo. In South Korea the prestige of the duo group is less when compared to idol groups and it might be hard for a duo to compete with big groups. But the duo groups below are able to prove that they are no less cool than other idol groups. Some are legendary, some have just debuted and received very positive responses. Who are these groups, consider the following list.

1. 2BiC

This duo group consists of Kim Ji Hwan and Lee Jun Hyung and debuted under the Nextar Entertainment label in 2012. The 2BiC group is famous for their vocal quality, making 2BiC often referred to as the male version of Davichi. Because their specialties are both ballads. Not only that, 2BiC's vocal quality is also very good on live performance on stage. Some music critics praise it. They had released a duet song with other KPop singers such as Ailee in the song Love Again and with Davichi in the song On Nights Like This.

2. DBSK / TVXQ

Dong Bang Sin Ki or commonly abbreviated as DBSK has been known not only to the people of South Korea, but also Japan to the United States. No doubt the duo consisting of Changmin and Yunho is often referred to as the legendary KPop icon. Initially DBSK was not a duo group, but an ordinary idol group consisting of five members. But the problem between the three group members and the company that overshadowed them made DBSK eventually become a duo, instead of being an idol group of five people.

DBSK is famous for the vocal characters in their strong yet touching songs. The DBSK dance movement also seems very difficult, so only those who can dance it perfectly.

3. MXM

The MXM duo group officially debuted on September 6, 2017 and consists of Im Young Min and Kim Dong Hyun. Feel familiar with its name? Of course, because if you are observant, Youngmin and Donghyun are both participants in the Produce 101 Season 2 event. Unfortunately they failed to debut in the Wanna One project.

4. Akdong Musician

The group, which consists of siblings Suhyun and Chanhyuk, features sweet chemistry and neat vocal harmonization. Some of their songs that dominate the charts are: Give Love, Re-Bye and Dinosaur. This duo debuted under the YG Entertainment label. Akdong Musician or AkMu is also one of the duo groups that often dominates the KPop charts. Their fame has never been dimmer since winning the second season of the K-Pop Star talent search contest in 2012. And getting more famous since its debut in 2014.

5. KHAN

The KHAN duo group debuted in May this year, consisting of Jeon Min Ju and Kim Yu Na. Both have experience as idols because they were former members of The Ark group who broke up in 2016.

Minju is a K-Pop Star 2 and K-Pop Star 6 contestant alumni. Yuna is a K 3 Superstar alumni and participant in The Unit survival program and Rapstar 3 Unpretty. Their debut song titled I’m Your Girl has a fresh pop impression.

Then in 2018, Minju and Yuna finally debuted again under the Maroo Entertainment label by forming the duo KHAN. Besides having a career as an idol, both Minju and Yuna apparently also have a long journey to follow the survival event and talent search.

6. Bolbbalgan4

This duo consists of a pair of friends Ahn Ji Young and Woo Ji Hyun. They had participated in the Superstar K 6 event in 2014. In 2016 Bolbbalgan4 signed a contract with Shofar Entertainment and debuted shortly thereafter. Bolbbalgan4 songs are often rated as very ear-pleasing because of Jiyoung's unique vocals and technique. In addition, the concept presented by the duo group has an aesthetic feel and seems fresh and cheerful. They stole a lot of Korean in every released of new songs, it never failed to get a PAK.

7. JBJ95

JBJ95 just debuted last October. The duo group consisting of former Produce 101 Season 2 contestants, Kim Sang Gyun and Takeda Kenta, debuted with a song called HOME. Initially JBJ95 was planned as a temporary project like the group they had been holding, JBJ.

8. Davichi

Davichi is a duo that debuted in 2008 and consisted of Kang Min Kyung and Lee Hae Ri. Davichi's specialty is the ballad genre, although they also often sing pop genre songs. Davichi is one of the most popular female duos in South Korea, even now. Their songs include: We Were in Love, The Letter, It's Alright It's Love and Turtle. The most famous song from Davichi is Don’t Say Goodbye. Because of his fame, the song is often claimed to be a broken hearted march because the lyrics and video clips often make people baper and then upset.

9. Wable

Wable duo group consisting of brothers Lee Ki Rim and Lee Bu Reum, debuted in 2016 through the song I Want To Fall In Love. In 2015, Wable apparently had time to fill in the soundtrack song for the 1988 1988 drama entitled Violet Fragrance. The characteristics of this group remind you of Bolbbalgan4 because they often choose the concept of an innocent love story.

10. Monogram

The group, consisting of Kevin Choi and Riwon, debuted on September 23, 2017 through a single titled The Child. Monograms often use acoustic instruments and strings such as violin or celo on each song they produce.
