GOT7 IS NOW OVER? 3 OF ITS MEMBERS LEFT JYP AGENCY AFTER CONTRACT EXPIRATION

Got7 is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment in 2014. The group is composed of seven members: JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom. Since it's 2020, there is already rumor that Got7 members's contract expiration. With the rumors of GOT7's Jinyoung meeting with BH Entertainment, possibly discussing a new contract, there has been another rumor that stir in the international online community.

Netizens have recently discovered that J.Y. Park had unfollowed Bambam, Jinyoung, and Mark on Instagram. Fans have been speculating for a while that there could be some bitterness between J.Y. Park and the members. Fans state that J.Y. Park is still following Youngjae, Jackson, and YugyeomHowever, the matter became much more certain when fans found that Youngjae unfollowed J.Y. Park and even deleted the video of him covering J.Y. Park's song. In addition, Bambam and Youngjae both deleted the group photos they took with J.Y. Park, further certifying the fan's speculations.

Although there is not yet official statement about it, many people, especially GOT7 fans begin to speculate. Previously, on January 6, SPO TV News reported that GOT7’s Yugyeom will be signing an exclusive contract with hip hop label AOMG after his contract with JYP Entertainment expires this month. He has reportedly gotten in touch with various management companies and has ultimately decided to join AOMG.

JYP Entertainment said in a statement to Newsen, “We are still discussing various possibilities regarding GOT7’s contracts, and we will inform you when we are ready.”

The rumor later comes out as true, as now Yugyeom, one of GOT7 member is officially left JYP.

On January 6th, Bambam responded to one of the fan's tweets with a shrug gif making GOT7 fans that their assumptions are probably true but assuring fans not to worry too much. Are you sadden by this news, or are you already prepared?
