Shingeki no kyojin ENDING PREDICTION, might contains spoiler.

This is a PREDICTION (based on 115ch) of what will happened in a popular manga, shingeki no kyojin or attack of titan. This complex manga with its complicated story line and character has give the reader an interesting journey. It’s unpredictable, thrilling and full of politics. We can rest assured that in the lastest chapter 115, our popular character, Levi Ackerman isn’t dead yet, although he is badly injured. Hange zoe false levi’s dead so he didn’t get shot in the head, because he is barely alive. He escaped by the river and bringing along levi’s body.

First, from Ch 114, we already found out what is zeke yeager, who possesses the beast titan, true goal is. For zeke, it’s better if eldian is never been born in the world, they’re the one who actually destroys the balance of universe, the “unnecessary” being. Zeke thinks dead is the only answer to end all the misery in real world and the birth of an Eldian is a SIN. The euthanasia plan is the only way to FREE eldian. (remember this keyword, we'll talk a lot about FREEDOM)

So what's Eren thinking?

Although in ch115, zeke thinks that he has found someone who shares same sentiment and goal like him from eren, I don’t think it’s true. First, Eren can’t refuse Elena’s proposal (about the euthanasia plan) since it could let Elena to do something else more crazy. So by being an Ally, Eren can be a spy to monitor Zeke’s team action. And if you know that zeke and historia is the only left who have royal blood, which is why eren need to cooperate with zeke if he want to use the founding titan power.

Second, Eren possesses the attack titan, who always seek “FREEDOM”, coincidence? Of course not. Hajime Isayama sensei is someone who thinks thoroughly about every character development and story. If Eren shares memories and “will of act” from the attack titan (just like other titan user), he will also definitely seeking a FREEDOM.

In ch89, The owl asked anyone who possesses Attack titan to love someone inside the wall. This is necessary to stop history to repeat again, so the user doesn’t get brainwashed by the will of lord reiss (or I might say King Fritz), who agree with Marley, that Eldian should be destroyed. Afterall, he is the king who stole people’s memories, lied to his people about the outside world and isolate the Eldians by building a wall. In this case, Eren cares for both Mikasa and Armin.

“If you want to save mikasa and armin, eren needs to carry your mission to the end” – ch 89

If Marley won, there were only 2 fates for an Eldian, either being use as weapon or eradicate from the world. In ch 90, Eren keeps asking what’s freedom is. This lets to bad memories from his father, about his lil sister who get killed by Marleyan dogs. And it’s happened because Eren’s father pursuing FREEDOM. (Going outside the wall). After finally see an “OCEAN”, Eren realize that he
has been wrong all this time, that the other side of this OCEAN isn’t Freedom, but ENEMIES. IF he kills all the enemies, will they be FREE?

There is some key point here in Ch 90 from Eren,

“He’d be happy to give his life, if he knows doing so could change something, BUT he isn’t prepared to sacrifice Historia life yet.” Then suddenly he realizes something (look at his shocking face) that we might know later.

With this, I think the approach and verdict about what is “FREEDOM” for eldian race by zeke and eren is completely different. Zeke’s verdict is similar with Lord Fritz, a “fake paradise” for Eldian, thinking themselves as a sinner who needs to be vanished.

Eren’s verdict is to stop a war between Humanity (Marley) and Eldian. How to do this? I think Eren will show how frightening the power of titan is so the world abide with it, just like how world war 2 ended by an atom bom / nuclear. Eren will force the world to sign a “PEACE treaty”, acknowledging Eldian existence as an Equal and live along together. Yet this will result with a lot of casualties, the death of innocent peoples. Or eren’s goal might be the annihilation of people who against eldian, which means the world, so eren might erase anyone who is against eldian existence. This hypothesis is based on ch 115, when Eren thinks that the killing of all Lord Reiss family by his father is necessary for the greater good. And I forget in which chapter, but eren complained to the glasses guy (hange) if is there any other way than this road? So whatever’s eren will do, it’s something so terrifying, yet should be done for the sake of eldian.

In ch 97, eren said this: they see something behind the hell, maybe it’s hope, maybe it’s another hell. But one thing for sure, people who will know is the one who keep moving forward.

It doesn’t mean that Eren isn’t wavering with his conclusion. Eren has tried to solidify his action several times, first by meeting his grandfather (In ch98), listening to his perspective. Second, meeting with Rainer. In ch 100, when Reiner asked eren to kill him, that Reiner is better vanished, this makes Eren wavered a bit. But after hearing Lord tybur speech, Eren is confidence about his conclusion. He is ready to fight back against this unfair situation, against the repeating history (War).

“I wish for the extinction of eldian, but I don’t wish to die because I was born into this world” - lord Tybur

Well, we can look at Eren’s answer:

“I will just keep moving forward until my enemy is destroyed, even if I need to become a demon”

Keep in Mind, I think Isayama sensei is still plotting some twist in the story. In the pass chapters, we are already shown how “the path” is talked a lot by eldian. Ymir in ch89 and Zeke in ch115 has somehow saw “the path”. In ch88, all the subject of ymir is connected with something invisible, the path even sometimes carries memories and the will of the predecessor. It cross at single coordinate, the founding titan. There is a high possibility that a girl that bring back zeke back into the world, is actual ymir fritz, the ancestors of eldian race or founding titan. Why she did that? It’s still mystery. I think Ymir might have "not so different" thought with Lord Fritz:

“We will perish, we are meant to” I have made vow with the founding titan, renouncing the war. Ch 89

I mean Ymir might want to renounce the war (=doesn't want to war with the world just as what king fritz want) , but looking for a better ending for Eldian, just like Eren. Zeke might not die yet, since his royal bloodline is needed for Eren to end this chaos.

My guts feeling tell me that we might see mikasa and jean as the two survivor who will remember eren, yes, our main heroine probably dead in the end.

In conclusion, for the world point of view (not eldian people), eren is the villain here. Since we know Eren’s point of view as well, He might be the enemy/villain, but he is literally trying to be alive and seek freedom for his people. So both side between marleyan and eldian has their own interests that conflicting with each other.

In this manga, there is no good side or evil side, afterall they’re both human with their own importance/objective. There is no right or wrong in a war. It’s fortunate if we can live coexist together without any fight (war), but reality isn’t that way, even until now, our world is still on war.
