BEST KOREAN DRAMA ADAPTATION FULL OF ACTION from SWEET HOME to SQUID GAME

Korean dramas not only offer you with a light story like romantic comedy genre but also provide you with a wider genre such as crime and detective or law or even medical doctor. Here is several genre of action that looks like an anime or adapted from webtoon where the mc or any character has super power or special skills.

1. Sweet Home

As humans turn into savage monsters, one troubled teenager and his neighbours fight to survive and to hold onto their humanity. The graphic is amazing and the budget seems big due to netflix project. It has 3 seasons, a trilogy of awesomeness. Although the season one already use all the material from the webtoon, but that just makes it more interesting because we don't know how the producer will led the story. Sweet Home performed well across the globe on Netflix in the first month of its release by breaking into at least 32 different top t0 lists. In particular Sweet Home was able to reach number one on Netflix in South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The series has made it into the US top ten. With Sweet Home reaching the US top ten, this would have greatly increased the series’ chances of being renew. The story full of thrill from the start till the beginning, although it ends with a bitter sweet ending. Many people can't wait to know and follow our beloved MC to find the cure and his purpose of life in this apocalyptic world. Overall score it is 8.8 of 10. Sweet Home is a Netflix Original horror K-Drama series, based on the webtoon comic of the same name by Yongchan Hwang. The series is produced by Studio Dragon, who has also been responsible for other popular K-Dramas such as My Holo Love, Love Alarm, Arthdal Chronicles, and Crash Landing on You.  it’s taken 18 months for Netflix to officially confirm that season 2 is now in production. Alongside the season 2 announcement, Netflix has also revealed that a third of Sweet Home is also on the way.

2. Money Heist

A criminal mastermind who goes by "The Professor" has a plan to pull off the biggest heist in recorded history -- to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain. To help him carry out the ambitious plan, he recruits eight people with certain abilities and who have nothing to lose. Although there is no super power in the story, but we can't deny that the professor is more than mediocre person with his brain. Not only that we get a north Korea soldier in it as well. Overall score it is solid 8.3 of 10.

3. All of us are dead

Trapped students must escape their high school which has become ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak. It is like a resident evil Korean series, but more into teenager as our MCs are students. People might get annoyed that instead of the MC, the villain get the super power ability of unable to die for several times. It is annoying really. Yet, in season two we will see the second heroine to show cast her new power. Can't wait! Overall score it is solid 8.2 of 10. Could be better if there is no annoying villain who can't die and ruin the story. Netflix Korea officially confirmed the return of its smash series 'All of Us Are Dead' with season 2 on June 6 at around 10 p.m. IST, by releasing a poster with the phrase “Can we survive again?” The hard zombie survival time of Hyosan High School buddies begins.

4. Uncanny Counter

Gritty, bloody and full of action like many an OCN drama, yet character-driven and full of heart, like you might expect from jTBC, with a fantasy bent like you might expect of tvN, The Uncanny Counter is the superhero-flavored, heartfelt, X-Men-esque demon-hunting story that I didn't know I needed in my life. It's full of action and by following the series we get to attach with the team members. The dynamic of the team also isn't that generic, because we have one old lady and an ex gangster as a team member, not only a student. Each of character also have different ability thus need them to work it out together to capture an evil soul. Overall score it is solid 8.7 of 10. The Uncanny Counter Season 2 was announced after the success of the first season in 2020. It has been almost two years, but news of the new installment has been dismal due to the main lead get into a bullying scandal.

When Kim Shin is faced with death instead of honor after fighting a mighty battle, God turns Kim Shin into a goblin instead, tasked with protecting certain people from the life of misery. But immortality is wearing on Kim Shin, and he longs to find the prophesied human bride who can set his soul free. Although there is not much of action going on, but it is interesting to see a magical creature got introduce to Korea drama. The drama itself feels magical and the cinematography is just superb, along with amazing music to sooth our soul. Overall score it is solid 8 of 10.

6. Squid game

Hundreds of cash-strapped contestants accept an invitation to compete in children's games for a tempting prize, but the stakes are deadly. If in Japanese drama, we get to see a lot of drama with this kind of genre, from liar game, alice in borderland, Battle royale, gantz and more, but due to be the first Korean drama using that kind of genre and the nostalgic game from our childhood, squid game able to make a buzz last year. Overall score it is solid 8.5 of 10. Although somehow the story kinda turn into a wrecking ball without a direction, yet we can't deny it is one hella ride.
