THE WITCH PART TWO WILL BE RELEASE SOON
“The Witch: Part 2” is a sequel to “The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion”, which was released in 2018. It is directed by Park Hoon-jung, who were credited for “New World” and “Night in Paradise”. The series is constantly a sturdy possibility, given the open conclusion of the film. Enthusiasts have been anxiously ready ever since. The first part of “The Witch” exceeded 3 million admissions with explosive action sequences featuring Kim Da-mi.
Director Park Hoon Jung prepared for this second film earlier but faced a crisis as Warner Bros. Korea decided to pull out its Korean film business. Plans for the movie almost fell through. However, NEW negotiated with Warner Bros. Korea for the license of The Witch: Part 2 and has continued to support the film. Due to warner bros departure, they decide to change the main character for copyright issue, and the producer even state that they’re willing to change the plot if it’s necessary, only if warner bros won’t ever going back for the next project, the part 3. The reason the main character is changed from Kim Da-mi to Cynthia is that Warner Bros. Korea, which owns the movie rights, withdrew from related businesses such as investment, production, and distribution of Korean films.
Currently, The Witch: Part 2 The Other One, has completed its shooting process. The second movie began its shooting in late December last year and finished it on the 19th, after four months. According to FT Sports on December 4th, “The Witch: Part 2” is scheduled to be released in mid-2022, and in addition to leading actors Kim Da-mi and Jo Min-soo, Lee Jong-suk, Park Eun-bin , Cynthia, and Jin-goo are confirmed to join the cast.
The Other One' issue update, they resolved the distribution problem between Warner Bros korea and switched it to 'NEW' New Entertainment World production house. Both Kim Dami and Lee Jongsuk are going to make a special appearance in The Witch Part.2
