CURRENT AIRING K DRAMA AND ITS RATING FOR RECOMMENDATION

This month is full of great drama to start watching it. I must say after several suspense drama about laws and criminal activity, this month is filled with a lot of heart warming and romantic comedy drama. Amidst the fierce ongoing battle for K drama ratings, many get decent amount of success and rating. Here are my recommendation:

1. One the Woman

The drama continued its reign as not only the most-watched program in its time slot and the most-watched miniseries to air on Saturday, but also the most-watched miniseries of the entire week. It's reasonable with such amazing and senior cast,  starring Honey Lee and Lee Sang Yoon. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of this hit comedy scored an average nationwide rating of 13.5 percent and a peak of 17.4 percent.

“One the Woman” was also the most-watched program of any kind to air on Saturday among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 5.7 percent.

2. SBS’s “Lovers of the Red Sky”

The drama earned average nationwide viewership ratings of 8.8 percent. The drama successfully defended its position as the most-watched Monday-Tuesday drama. The story is based on popular novel about mythical being in South Korea urban legend.

3. “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha”

The romantic slice of life drama earned an average nationwide rating of 9.2 percent. The romantic comedy also remained first place in its time slot across all channels—including public broadcast networks—among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored a nationwide average of 5.4 percent. Lovable actor kim seunho and actress Shin min ah are doing the lead. The drama portray a lot of daily activities and can keep your heart warm, with full of smile.

4. tvN’s “Yumi’s Cells”

Many watch this drama since they like the artist, Kim goeun. The drama maintained its average nationwide rating of 2.1 percent from the previous night. It's a decent rating for a cable show. With a good animation about brain cell, this drama might give you laughter and very relateable.

5. KBS 2TV’s “Dali and Cocky Prince”

The new romantic comedy starring Kim Min Jae and Park Gyu Young achieved the highest viewership ratings of its run thus far. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of “Dali and Cocky Prince” scored an average nationwide rating of 5.4 percent, marking a new all-time high for the drama.

6. The King’s Affection”

“The King’s Affection” tells the story of a pair of royal twins, one male and one female. Although the sister is initially abandoned for being female, she later disguises herself as a man to become the crown prince when her brother dies. Park Eun Bin plays Lee Hwi, the crown prince with a shocking secret, while SF9‘s Rowoon stars as Jung Ji Woon, who is Lee Hwi’s teacher.

According to Nielsen Korea, the October 11 premiere of “The King’s Affection” recorded average nationwide viewership ratings of 6.2 percent. This is similar to the score the drama’s predecessor “Police University” achieved with its final episode at 6.3 percent.
