SOME HEARTHBREAKING NEWS IN THE LAST HALF OF 2021

Well, this year might be the dark of Kpop as sadden news release one by one after few months, especially for girl groups. For starter, only this year we have news about Izone disbandment, Gfriend disbandment, G-idle lost one of its member permanently, Seungri receives 3 years jailed prison, Kris wu rape scandal and former AOA members attempt suicide. It seems all that sadden news are not enough because we have yet another sad news. Lets start with G-idle news:

1. Soojin Announced To Be Leaving (G)I-DLE

Soojin has been on hiatus since March after people shared posts online alleging that Soojin had bullied other students in school. She is one of the names that got scandal for bullying among any other Korean celebrities that pass month. Although Soojin and Cube Entertainment denied the rumors, rookie actress Seo Shin Ae eventually came forward and said that Soojin had bullied her when they were classmates together. Nevertheless, Soojin decide to leave her group for the group sake.

2. Veteran Actress Kim Min Kyung Passes Away

On August 17, her agency, DaHong Entertainment, confirmed, “Kim Min Kyung passed away yesterday (August 16).” She is currently laid to rest at a hospital in Seoul and her funeral will take place on August 18. For people who doesn't familiar with her, some of her movies include “Tazza,” “Someone Behind You,” “Where the Truth Lies,” “Microhabitat,” and more. Some of her dramas include “The Moon Embracing the Sun,” “The Flower in Prison,” “When the Camellia Blooms,” “VIP,” “Nobody Knows,” “Eccentric! Chef Moon,” and more. Her most recent projects include the dramas “Mouse” and “A Good Supper” and the movie “Pipeline.” Two of her movies, “Spiritwalker” and “1947 Boston,” have yet to be released.

3. Hyeme get yet another scandal

Maybe some of you already notice her name as a trouble maker, well you're kinda right since she has been into scandal this pass years. Hyeme debuted with the girl group Rania in 2015, and after many lineup changes, the group recently re-debuted as Black Swan on October 16. was accused of fraud has been revealed to be Black Swan‘s Hyeme. A formal complaint was lodged against Hyeme by a man who claims that she had borrowed ₩50,000,000 KRW ($44,800 USD) from him, only to cut off contact afterwards. According to KakaoTalk messages exchanged, Hyeme had asked him to help solve some financial problems with regards to her mother. She said that she would pay her fans back when she finds success. But she changed her number and disappeared. More than anything, the sense of betrayal is huge, as what it said from the fans, who has spent a lot of time with her personally. It is reported that he is 30 years old in Korea. He claims that most of the money sent to Hyeme was spent on her entertainment. She allegedly had dates with other men in the officetel he had gotten for her as well.

Now, On August 17, SBS reported that a man in his thirties (hereafter referred to as “B”) had filed for divorce from Hyeme in the city of Uijeongbu earlier this month. According to the report, Hyeme legally registered her marriage to B in June 2020, before Black Swan’s official debut in October of that year.

Yoon Deung Ryong, the founder and CEO of Hyeme’s former agency DR Music, commented, “Our exclusive contract with Hyeme has ended, and we are not currently able to get in contact with her.”

“This is the first we are hearing of Hyeme’s marriage and divorce,” he continued. “If we had known about this, she would not have joined Black Swan as a member. From our agency’s standpoint, we are in a situation where we could even claim compensation for damages from Hyeme.”
