ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT KRIS WU SEXUAL ASSAULT SCANDAL

Who doesn't know about Kris WU, as a former exo member, he isn't only well known in China, but also South Korea and probably the world.

Where does it start?

On Saturday, news broke that the 30-year-old pop star, who was a member of the enormously popular South Korean-Chinese supergroup EXO before pursuing a solo career in China, had been detained by Beijing police for what they called “suspected rape.” The 30-year-old, who was arrested in Beijing on suspicion of rape is now believed to have assaulted over 30 victims, many of them teenagers.

If found guilty of sexual assault in the California courts, Kris faces an eight to 11 year prison sentence. It posted by the Chaoyang District Public Security Bureau on Weibo, a criminal investigation is being conducted into the online complaints that Wu, who was born in China but holds Canadian citizenship, had “repeatedly luring young women into having sex with him.”

Dōu Měizhú 都美竹, a 19-year-old university student, has been the most prominent voice in speaking out against Wu. In light of the ongoing situation, Kris Wu released a personal statement denying all of the allegations, but Du Meizhu has continued to release new information and accusations. Unfortunately not all claims that arise from the so called Dou Meizhu is all true though.

In its official statement, the police revealed details of the provisional investigation of the case.

1. Kris Wu ask Du Meizhu to be her MV model

Yes the police said that Kris Wu's manager asked Du Meizhu to join the casting of the artist's video clip. The moment occurred on December 5, 2020 at around 10 local time. When Du Meizhu came, there were already about ten people playing the game until it was over. She finally met at Kris Wu's house. At least for this accusation, police found out this one as true.

2. Having sex.

Again, police also confirm this as true. Du Meizu with a bit drunken state went into Kris Wu's house. Finally friend of Kris wu went home one by one and left Du Meizhu with Kris Wu alone. They ends up having sex that night for the first time. During their groom time, Kris and Du were having sex a lot of times.

3. Du Meizhu received money from Kris

After that incident, Kris Wu and Du Meizhu's relationship grew closer. They are even quite intense in communicating on WeChat.

The proof is that on December 8, Kris Wu also sent money around USD 4946 to Du Meizhu for online shopping. Since then they have kept in touch until April 2021

4. Du Meizhu decide to go public

Du Meizhu then discussed with his friend, Liu (19 years old) in June 2021. They talked about the possibility of revealing Wu Yifan and Du Meizhu's romance. This was allegedly done to increase popularity.

Then on June 2, 2021, Liu created a Liu Meili account on Weibo to post about his friend, Du Meizhu who was harassed by Kris Wu.

5. Another person take opportunity to scam Kris's family for money, especially his mom.

Then there was the figure of Xu who contacted Du Meizu to continue posting about the harassment by Kris Wu. He promised the benefit of re-posting the subject on July 16, 2021. It was revealed during the police report, however, that there was a third party involved when Wu’s mother began making claims that “she had been blackmailed by Du.” The police apprehended Liu (Male, 23) for posing as Du in an effort to “scam both parties by posing as a related party.”

The police revealed that Kris Wu's mother claimed to have been blackmailed by Du Meizhu on July 14, 2021. Apparently there was another person named Liu (a 23-year-old male) who disguised himself as Du Meizhu to take advantage.Now, Liu has been arrested and officially named a suspect. She thought of cheating to get money after seeing Du Meizhu and Liu (19 years old) statements on Weibo.

Liu was originally disguised as a woman who was also a victim of Kris Wu. He scraped information about their relationship through Du Meizhu.

From there, he disguised himself as Du Meizhu to blackmail Kris Wu's side. Liu asked for 463,640 USD

6. Kris mother tried to help his son's scandal

Kris Wu's mother apparently had time to send the money to Liu who claimed to be Du Meizhu amounting to 77,275 USD. On the other hand, he also disguised himself as lawyer Wu to ask Du Meizhu to sign the settlement of this harassment case. However Du Meizhu refused.

"After Ms. Liu was arrested, she admitted to the charges of fraud. Currently, she is being held at the Chaoyang police station," the police said.

As of now, the investigation itself is still ongoing. The police continue to try to dig up the facts regarding the alleged sexual harassment by Kris Wu.
