NEW MOVIE RECOMMENDATION FOR ITAEWON CLASS LOVER, ACTRESS LEE JOO YOUNG

Lee Joo Young's most notable appearances are in the TV series Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo and Itaewon Class. Her dashing appearance which is more a tomboyish has stolen a lot of viewers heart. She was the recipient of a Best Actress award at the 2019 KBS Drama Awards.

On March 18, the fashion magazine released photos from the actress’s pictorial where she naturally pulled off multiple looks.

In the accompanying interview, Lee Joo Young talked about the changes in her acting career ever since she received the spotlight with her role in “Itaewon Class” as Ma Hyun Yi. She commented, “Last year, I found meaning through independent films, but this year, I wanted to try a project that could bring me closer to people. I’m glad I’ve achieved a part of that goal with this drama.”

“Baseball Girl” was recently invited to the 24th Busan International Film Festival, and Lee Joo Young also won the Independent Actor Award at the 45th Seoul Independent Film Festival.

In the trailer for the upcoming film, Joo Soo In is surrounded by the voices of her coach, mother, and friends who don’t believe she can make her dream come true. Although she practices harder than anyone else, the voices in the background say, “How did a girl come to join the high school baseball team?” “What are you going to do after you graduate school? Do you have a plan?” “Wake up. Do you really think they’ll call you?” “Going pro is easy to say, but it’s not that easy to do,” and “If you can’t do it, give up quickly. The upcoming film will be about Joo Soo In (Lee Joo Young) who dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. The story tells of the struggle she faces in order to overcome the challenges of reality.

Joo Soo In has been put under the spotlight and called the “genius baseball girl” for her ability to pitch at a maximum speed of 134 kilometers per hour (83 miles per hour) while adding a lot of rotation to the ball. After graduating high school, she dreams of joining a professional team to continue playing baseball, but she isn’t given an opportunity to be evaluated on her own merits simply because she’s a woman. However, a big change occurs when the new coach Jin Tae (Lee Joon Hyuk) joins Joo Soo In’s baseball team.

In response to the disbelievers, Joo Soo In pitches with all her might and says, “How can people know my future? Even I don’t know it. I can’t give up without trying.”

As for the driving force that has motivated her to work without a break since 2016, Lee Joo Young' said, “I used to become exhausted so easily. Now even if I go through a slump, I don’t mind it too much. I went through a burnout about two years ago, and I got better after starting a production. That was when I realized that when difficulty comes, I shouldn’t hold onto it and dig myself deeper but just let it flow naturally. The grander something is, the harder it is.”

The actress added, “I always think I’m not a special person. If you look around, there are many people who work harder and do better than me. I decided, ‘I’m not special anyway, so I’ll just do what I can.'”
