[BLIND ITEM] MOMOLAND IS NOW ONLY 6 MEMBERS

Momoland (Korean: 모모랜드) is a KPOP girl group formed by MLD Entertainment (formerly known as Duble Kick Company) through the 2016 reality show Finding Momoland. The K-pop group debuted in 2016 with seven members – Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin and Nancy – before Daisy and Produce 101 star Taeha joined the following year.

After rocking a concept with their hits song, BBOOM BBOOM!, Momoland seems on the down side and can't increase their popularity again thanks to the catchy song. We know that Momolad has promoted several times with a lack of one or two members, for eg:

On March 14, 2019, MLD Entertainment issued an official statement regarding Momoland's 5th mini album comeback. The label shared, "We have concluded that due to various health issues and personal reasons, it would be best for members Taeha and Daisy to take a break during these upcoming promotions; as a result, Momoland will make a comeback as 7-members. The two members mentioned will rejoin Momoland in their next comeback album. But it seems it's only consolation and lies from the agency.

MOMOLAND fans are worried about Momoland's Daisy after reading her mother's alleged posts on social media. MLD Entertainment referred to as "health and personal reasons for both of the hiatus, However, fans are alleging Daisy's mother has suggested that both Daisy and Taeha were forced to undergo a hiatus for unrevealed reasons.

Daisy's Mother respond: Thank you very much. Six months have passed, and my heart is breaking. In a society like this, we should live right and stand up against small injustices. #itsunfair #imfurious #momoland."

Fans have been requesting an explanation from Momoland's label about Daisy and Taeha's hiatus, but they've yet to receive an official statement after this past March. Stay tuned for updates.

Daisy's mother is furious and expressed, "I want to see Daisy's smile on her face again," and "My daughter is crying, and they live calmly and shamelessly. I feel hot under the collar. I want to say don't forget that the sky is looking at you."

When asked about the members' condition, Momoland remaining members avoided a clear answer, and only reiterated, "They couldn't promote because their treatment didn't work out with the promotion period. What makes the fans even more furious is on the anniversary of Momoland, the agency, MLD entertainment only post and put hashtags of 6 members, where it's supposedly be 9.

On Nov 2019, MLD Entertainment has confirmed that two of the singers of the girl group, MOMOLAND, Taeha and Yeonwoo, will be leaving the group as of Nov. 30.

MLD Entertainment confirmed the news with a statement reading: ‘We would like to make a statement regarding our performers, MOMOLAND, who are reorganised as a six-member team. ‘Taeha and Yeonwoo, who have been with MOMOLAND as a part of the team, are about to make a new start by leaving the team today.

Of Taeha, the agency said: ‘First of all, following careful consideration and respecting her own opinion as a top priority, Taeha is going to make a new start at a new place with her exclusive contract terminated. Thus, the company will fully support and encourage her new start as much as possible.’ They explained Yeonwoo is concentrating on her acting career, having landed a role in the new SBS drama Alice, saying: ‘While Yeonwoo has had deep affection for her MOMOLAND activities, she has decided that continuing together with her actress activities would be too much strain for both her team and herself so to leave the team and concentrate on her career as our actress

Yeonwoo has been with MOMOLAND since the group first debuted in Nov. 2016. However, she has decided to pursue a different career path that music at this point. “While Yeonwoo has had deep affection for her MOMOLAND activities, she has decided that continuing together with her actress activities would be too much strain for both her team and herself, [so she’s leaving] the team and concentrating on her career as our actress [under MLD Entertainment],” the statement explained.

Meanwhile, Taeha joined the group in April 2017, along with another member, Daisy. MLD confirmed that Taeha will be making a “new start at a new place,” and said that “the company will fully support and encourage her new start as much as possible.” Daisy is still going through a “mutual discussion” with MLD Entertainment, regarding her placement in the group.
