What you need to know about the most anticipated KPOP ROOKIES of the Year, X1!
Yes, the most anticipated KPOP group is no other than our beloved 11 members group, X1. We know that the pain and longing because of "wanna one disbandment" doesn't stop you to embrace another pain by stanning yet another Produce series group, X1. Am I right?
If you're just a new fans and barely even watch the produce series, then this article is good for you, because some brief information about this group, X1, that might have stolen your attention/interest can make you understand this team better. And for all of you who already a hardcore produce series fans, well, test your knowledge and see if you're already know all about X1.
Let's start:
1. X1 is a Kpop boygroup from CJ E&M through the Mnet 4th season, reality competition show Produce X 101. The group is composed of eleven members: Kim Yo-han, Kim Woo-seok, Han Seung-woo, Song Hyeong-jun, Cho Seung-youn, Son Dong-pyo, Lee Han-gyul, Nam Do-hyon, Cha Jun-ho, Kang Min-hee, and Lee Eun-sang. The group will debut under Swing Entertainment and will be co-managed by Stone Music Entertainment
2. All members from X1 has 2.5-year exclusive contract and another 2.5-year non-exclusive contract, meaning that the individual members can return to co-promote with their original agencies after the first half of their contract is over. So after 2.5 years, each X1 member could return to their original group to promo in the group or debuted as another member of another group from their respected agency.
3. Even before debut, X1 already got so many scandals or problems because of the vote rigging accusation of the main event (Produce x 101). The police currently is still investigating this matters.Many brands are reportedly hesitant to partner with X1 currently as investigations continue into the alleged rigging of votes during “Produce X 101.”X1 made their long-awaited debut with their debut album “QUANTUM LEAP” but reports claim that they will not be able to hold a debut performance on Music Bank as planned.
4. The vote rigging not as baseless as it seems, because police recently found an audio recording of one of the producers talking about rigging the votes of multiple seasons.A lot of witnesses also said that they already know there is a vote rigging inside the show.
5. Despite that circumstances, X1 is finally debut, not only that, they show a great start as yet another MONSTER ROOKIES, not to disappoint its predecessor (their senior group, ioi, wanna one, izone who achieve a great successful impact). Their MV streamed more than 5 million in 24 hours, their album pre-order sales achieved almost 100k within a week.
6. The center of the group is Yohan, double center with Wooseok.
7. X1 releases their mini album “Quantum Leap” on August 27 and will also perform their premier show-con that day at Gocheok Sky Dome. The ticket sold out and several ex- produce x 101 trainees attends the show, 3 of them are popular trainee: jinhyuk, mingyu, and other trainee
8. X1 member bond is already close with each other even before debut, as shown that the trainee congratulate and feels genuinely happy when the other names got mention in the final episode of produce x 101.
9. This season, the X1 member consist of several already known trainee, including wooseok, hangyul, seungyeon and seungwoo. This comes from 3 already debuted group like up10tion, victon and Sungyoun who has trained for 9 years. He is a member of UNIQ as the main rapper and vocalist.
10. The bonds between the maknae line and the hyung line is so cute, like seungwoo with dongpyo, dohyun with hangyul and hyeongjun with seungyeon. Seungyoun and Hangyul are roomates. Seungyoun stated that their room has a cafe vibe to it since he loves to decorate. Seungwoo has earned the title of PDX’s Nation Leader. He has also been a fan pick to become the main vocalist in the debuting group as well as being recognized as one of the best vocalist from all of the fellow trainees.
11. Wooseok stage name under up10tion is wooshin. Wooshin took a break due to mental health concerns. He came back from his hiatus for UP10TION’s first full album Invitation. He was on hiatus for a little over a year by this time.
Produce X 101
12. Yohan’s first friend on the show was Taeeun. Taeeun stated he would vote for him after he received an X grade. Junho is really close with Yohan, they have been by each others side since the blue carpet. Seungwoo, Yohan, and Junho are known as the “We Bare Bears” trio because they have performed every song together on PDX101.
13. Dongpyo stated he was in fear of breaking tradition of being the shows first center not to debut like the previous seasons. Dongpyo was a part of the dance group ARTBEAT, a K-Pop cover dance group. Eunsang sung Troye Sivan’s “Youth” as his audition song for SOPA. He has slightly bad eyesight. He normally would wears glasses but since has changed to contact lenses.
14. Song Hyeongjun’s role model is MONSTA X ‘s Joohoney, he said he loves how he dominates the stage when he raps. He is also a one pick of EXO member baekhyun.
