3 SUCCESS ATTEMPTS THAT KPOP AGENCY DO TO COPY THEIR COMPETITOR

In this competitive industry, it isn't a surprise that each company monitor each other business approach and plan so they won't leave behind. 
Below is several approach that some agency, even the big three agency in Korean entertainment industry has succeed in copying and even make it better! Yes, I talk about YG and JYP.

1. JYP success with TWICE
In 2013 JYP has shown a lot of interest in EXO and 2PM, how he compliments that having a foreigner member will give the group more colors and it will be good for the group's dynamic. When 2PM has nichkhun, it give a big hype in Thailand, where many Thai K fans contribute to trend "Nichkhun" several time in social media like twitter and youtube, thus gives 2PM more awareness.  Nichkhun also has his personal CF or solo project in Thai, that brings more dollar into JYP pocket. Not to mention how successful EXO has became before in Chinese market, before the ban. 

JYP in one of his business pitch clearly mention that it's where the future of Kpop industry are, while mentioning how album sales is credential for the success of a group. And not to forget that once, JYP said he is envious of SM since they have SNSD, and he wanted to create "the angels" of his own. With his wit, he create an competition show "sixteen" and create his "ideal girl group" that he has dream before.

2. YG with blackpink
Not that much different with JYP, YG also has mentioned before that they want to create a girl group that can sing and dance, like 2ne1, yet has a perfect visual too. He learned from his "not really a failure" , but he is indeed lost to SM before in the battle between the best Girl group in South Korea and probably the world. I mean, GG (girls generation) is clearly winning over 2ne1 in term of popularity and profits, let's be real. I definitely like 2ne1 song more, but yeah, even with all that cheap sounding song and so cheesy lyrics, SNSD/Girls Generation beat 2NE1 in Girlgroup battle of second generation. But fret not, YG learn from it and acknowledge that K-entertainment is really adore BEAUTY appearance so much that it's so crucial for the global domination plan that they want. And here we got with YG debuting Blackpink, a girl group with no flaw, almost perfect.

3. IZONE
Copying a business model from Japan and combine the quality of a Kpop group, and supported with the most powerful competition brand like PRODUCE series, IZONE has debuted as another Super Rookie from CJ entertainment. We can't deny how AKIP, the management behind 48 Groups (AKB, NGT, SKE, HKT, STU, NMB, etc) and Sakamichi group, knows what they're doing to boost sales. I don't like how they do things because they don't really care that much about their talents future or well being, but I acknowledge how good they sell their idols, even with the lack of talents, styling or skill improvement project, they still get big profits, even the top 3 most album sales 2018 in Japan come from them.
