Kpop Stars that got popular after participated in singing competition

Many would choose to debut under the big three companies such as sm entertainment, jyp or yg. It grants you smoother career and give you spotlight right away with their established network in korea entertainment industry. But they have high standards and won't accept just anyone.  Whether your vocal or dancing is good, but if you don't fit into what they're looking for their new talent, you won't make it.

So sometimes when this fresh talents who were searching for a breakthrough for their dreams, they decide to participate in competition program of tv station. These several singers are the stars that get recognised by that kind program, including popular show superstar-k or kpop star, etc

1. Lee Hi, cast into YG entertainment
Achievement: acknowledge as best South korea singer with her powerful and unique voice
Lee Ha-yi (born September 23, 1996), better known by her stage name Lee Hi, is a South Korean singer and songwriter. She is known as the runner-up of SBS's K-pop Star Season 1.
Her debut single "1.2.3.4", was released on October 28, 2012 and reached No. 1 with first-week sales of 667,549 downloads.On November 30, 2012, Lee Hi also had her first performance at the Mnet Asian Music Awards with fellow labelmate Epik High for the song "It's Cold" from the 99 album.
Her first full-length album First Love was released in two parts. Part 1 was released on March 7, 2013 and Part 2 was released on March 28, 2013.

2. Bolbbalgan4 (salchungi), cast into Sofar music
Achievement: Record breaking chart, Winner of so many awards
Bolbbalgan4 (Hangul: 볼빨간 사춘기; RR: Bolbbalgan Sachungi, also known as Blushing Youth) is a South Korean duo formed by Shofar Music in 2016. They appeared on Superstar K6 in 2014 before signing a contract with their current agency. The duo consists of Ahn Ji-young and Woo Ji-yoon.[1] They debuted on April 22, 2016, with the single "Fight Day" from the mini-album Red Ickle.

3. Winner Kang Seung Yeon
Achievement: Another hallyu idols group from YG entertainment with powerful vocal and great song.
Kang Seung-yoon (born January 21, 1994), known as Seungyoon, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, and leader of boy group Winner. In 2010, he participated in the reality television singing contest Superstar K2 and finished in fourth place. In January 2011, he became a trainee under YG Entertainment[2] and went on to debut as a solo artist in July 2013 and as the leader of Winner in October 2013.

4. Huh Gak
Achievement: hit #1 on online music chart with powerful ballad
Huh Gak (허각) (born 15 November 1984)[1] is a South Korean singer and the winner of the Mnet talent competition series ‘Superstar K’ 2 under Plan A Entertainment. He is known as ‘The man who turned the tables’ and ‘The South Korean Paul Potts’.[2] He has an enzygotic twin named Huh Gong, who didn't apply to 'Superstar K' 2 because he was concerned that the judges had prejudice. Now he is also a singer

5. Seo In guk
Achievement: Singer with multi-talent skill especially singing and acting
Seo In-guk (Hangul: 서인국; born October 23, 1987) is a South Korean singer and actor. He launched his singing career after winning the talent reality show Superstar K in 2009, and made his acting breakthrough in tvN's Reply 1997. Since then, he has starred in television series High School King of Savvy (2014), 38 Revenue Collection Unit (2016) and Shopaholic Louis (2016).
