BEST ACTING IDOLS (actors) IN KOREAN ENTERTAINMENTS based on Korean netizen

Many idols especially the veteran and senior has tried to change their idols career to acting career. With popularity and fame which they have, it is easy for them to directly get a MC role. While many rookies actors and actresses need to start from supporting roles. But it doesn’t interpret directly that all of them are suddenly good in acting, even if they get the MC role, the most important position in a drama that can led a drama to a success or failure.

Despite many idols has turned into acting, this is several tiers and evaluations based on public comments especially South Korean netizen. Check it out!

Many people will agree with this: “all of them are a good actors or actresses”. Their acting is on par with a good senior actors and actresses, eg : seo hyunjin, hyunbin, park seojoon and many more. Fun fact, if you write their names and search best korean actor or best Korean actress, you will see their faces. They can work with senior actors without difficulty, we viewers won’t notice the imbalance of skills between them. Most importantly, they have got credit and many professionals/insiders have given their acknowledgments to their skills. Winning an awards is just a proof of their amazing skill.

Do, sejong, Hyungsik, Choi taejoon, siwan

Above is tier where the idols has turned into actor, I can praise their acting skills and many people will agree that they are a good actor. Many netizen agree that they have successfully changed their idols image and even the PD is confident to give them an important role. They can carry the show themselves without the help of other more skilled actor.

Taecyeon, yonghwa, doojon

Above list is already credible in acting, and I think the PD also already acknowledge their skills, thus giving them more spotlight and make them as center of the story. Yet, all of them are missing something, either a hit story or drama project, award or just credibility. There is this very thin layer between A+ and A rank, so you can actually merge them into one. This is the tiers where their skills is on par with a good actor. (I mean, not all actors is great, some of them also has a weak acting eg shin sekyung, lee minho, etc)

Rank B+:

sungjae, hyeri, chanhee, uee, siwon, kwon nara

All of their actings are good, but still not in that level yet. Another actor will lead the story, eg in why her you can see seo hyun jin carried the show, in snow drop junghaein carried it. They can follow up with other more skilled actor and not dragging the drama down. In short, they’re almost in A category.

YoonA, chaeunwo, L, sooyoung, seohyun, rowoon, minhyun, daniel, jisoo, kang seungyeon, ong seungwo, lee jinhyuk

Unfortunately, their actings kinda cringe sometimes. Or they’re still new and people still can’t judge much. They might have many portfolios, yet, they always represent the same characters or role. They might nail a character, but unable to change their image, so even if they get new project, it just feels that we saw the same character again.

krystal, joy, minho

Their acting make the show boring. Either being emotionless or overreacting. We can see some article might pop out to criticize their actings and the viewership rating of their drama or project probably isn’t too good if they’re the lead.
