FORMER IDOLS AND EX GIRL GROUP MEMBER LEAVE SUICIDAL MESSAGES
We know that with over saturated market and how fast the Korean entertainment industry has evolved, being an idol often isn’t a long time career. Just like to be an athlete, an idol need to manage their financial well and invest when they’re popular and hot.
On this day, Lizzy, an ex member of afterschool uploaded a photo with the caption, "Goodbye, my life".
Along with the message there is a photo showed Ariel, the main character of the Disney Princess animation 'The Little Mermaid'. While the drawing of Ariel was smiling widely, Lizzy's contrasting caption drew concern from many netizens.
Several months ago, Lizzy ex After School held a live broadcast on her Instagram, while crying while apologizing for the incident that happened to her. As previously reported, on May 19, 2021, Lizzy was arrested for drunk driving. Lizzy was charged for driving under the influence, after she drove into a taxi with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08%, high enough to get her license revoked. Then in October of 2021, Lizzy's first trial was held and she was fined 15 million won (~$12.206 USD). Lizzy did not appeal the court decision, and her final sentence was confirmed.
Lizzy put the request in writing and thought it wouldn't be enough, so decided to go live.
“I wanted to apologize in writing, but I didn't think it would be enough, so I held a live broadcast. I'm so sorry," Lizzy said in an Instagram live broadcast.
Lizzy's Instagram is currently set to private.
