BTS JUNGKOOK POSSIBLY WON’T PARTICIPATE ON GRAMMYS
K-pop supergroup BTS on Monday left for Las Vegas to attend the annual Grammy Awards and hold four live concerts. J-Hope is currently self-isolating in South Korea after testing positive for COVID-19 on March 24th. “J-Hope has completed three rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations and currently does not present any extraordinary symptoms other than sore throat, and is being treated at home while in quarantine.”
The group appeared at Incheon International Airport in Incheon, about 40 kilometers west of Seoul, at about 6:40 p.m. and headed for the departure hall after greeting fans and reporters who were waiting for them. Jungkook left earlier due to his schedule related to the awards ceremony
Unfortunately, BTS member Jungkook has tested positive for COVID-19, just six days ahead of the group’s scheduled performance at the Grammys 2022.
Jungkook arrived in Las Vegas alone, so he has not had contact with the rest of the BTS members, who flew in a day later. HYBE announced Jungkook’s positive diagnosis on March 29 via Weverse. The entertainment company informed that Jungkook had traveled to the United States on Sunday, March 27, in preparation for the Grammys. Though he had tested negative before his departure, he started experiencing symptoms after arriving in Las Vegas.
According to HYBE, the company actively monitors members to ensure that all schedules go according to plan, but unfortunately there is a chance that changes may be announced closer to Sunday’s ceremony. “Jungkook’s participation in the later schedule in the United States will be determined by the local rules on COVID-19
