WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT WIZONE PROJECT FOR IZONE

Just like any other Produce group with the same fate and destiny, IZONE is a temporary group made by Mnet via a hit popularity idols show, Produce 101 or to be exact, produce 48. 2 and half years ago, the company and artist sign a contract to be IZONE members, and this contract will end in April 2021. Many fans dislike this truth and seek for justice as they have some wasted months for produce 101 fraud scandal, make the group hiatus for awhile. A total of 11,193 Korean fans participated on the first day of fandom-led funding event to reboot IZ*ONE, requesting the attention of the members’ individual agencies. While many fans seems has given up for IZONE's fate, especially international fans, but their core fandom in South Korea seems still hanging on for another last straw.

According to some of them, IZ*ONE was disbanded unfairly even with given knowledge that they’re a project girl group for they returned to promotions from a hiatus when COVID-19 arrived; thus making them promote in an empty crowd for more than a year and disbanding after.

A fan unity solemnly for Izone to be redebut again, asked the agency and CJENM to:

“This is not a place for assigning blame to the agency responsible for the ending of IZ*ONE’s promotion. We acknowledge the termination of IZ*ONE as a project group, so our purpose of the dialogue is in negotiations for the relaunching of the group. We sincerely ask officials of the agencies to engage in consultations for the relaunching of the group.” they said in their opening statement.

This project called: "PARALLEL UNIVERSE" is a wishful project, created by the fandom for the possibility of contract extension of Izone's member. The funding event was hosted via WADIZ, the largest crowdfunding platform in South Korea and it started at 9:30 am KST.

The plan to create their own company, staffed with legal team to discuss about contract and other things. Of course just like any other project, they should need a budget. Originally, the minimum funding target set to achieve by June 2021 was 1 billion won but the fans conveyed overflowing will and were able to raise 1 billion in 21 minutes.

There are two options to fund, via bank deposit or WADIZ; the bank deposit method opened two days ago with around 540 million donation, meanwhile WADIZ opened yesterday with 2,157,090,056; a total of 2.7 billion.

The committee added that they securely followed legal guidelines and aim to be as transparent as possible; they acquired an office location and regularly consult with their lawyer.

Thus far, the project has rent an advertising truck to protest in front of each agency, make many trending hashtags to support the 12 girls and so on.

We're interested to see any other new project that arise from this, although it's almost impossible to bring some miracle to this situation.
