KPOP IDOLS AND KOREAN ACTORS WHO GOT ALMOST DEATH EXPERIENCE

1. Super Junior Kyuhyun

This idols maknae (youngest) from global group, Super junior, SM entertainment almost died because of car incident in 2007. Super Junior’s van was involved in a severe traffic accident that resulted in a few of their members getting injured, even their leader, Leeteuk is also injured. Kyuhyun was shot out of the car when the accident happened and the force dragged him on the road for approximately 4~5m. Much of the flesh on his legs were torn off and all his ribs and his hip bones were shattered.

Although SM entertainment give official statement that it was okay and Kyuhyun is recovering, the reality is that He is almost death. Kyuhyun shared on a reality talk show, Strong heart, that the doctor told his parents to prepare themselves (as if kyuhyun would die) and ask their concern regarding whether the doctor can "cured" Kyuhyun by sacrificing his voice, that makes him unable to become idols or singer. The father of Kyuhyun strongly denied as he knows his son's dream.

2. Lee minho and Jung il woo'

We can't separate this two bestie as well as hot actors, since they got this accident together. Lee minho and Jung il woo. Jung Il Woo and Lee Min Ho were both born in 1987. Both lived in the same neighborhood during middle and high school.

In 2006, Lee Min Ho and Jung Il Woo were involved in a fatal car accident. Jung Il Woo suffered a concussion, brain hemorrhage, and partial amnesia in addition to a broken wrist and pelvic bone. Both actors were exempted from active military and are serving in public service. While his friend, Lee Min Ho suffered from multiple fractures on his leg and the cartilage in his knee was torn. He apparently still suffers from these injuries to this day.

This was shared by Jung Il Woo when he attended the Happy Together event. In the event, Jung Il Woo shared that before the accident happened, he was auditioning for the sitcom “Unstoppable High Kick.” As a result of the accident, Jung Il Woo initially felt that his opportunity had been lost. Given that, he had to undergo a lot of treatment and stay in the hospital for some time in order to recover. Fortunately, a miracle happened. Filming for the sitcom was postponed.

3. Bigbang Daesung

On May 31, 2011. 1AM KST, Daesung was involved in a car accident crashing into the back of a taxi. The singer is expected to be arrested for accidental homicide, and according to the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents, he is facing imprisonment for up to five years or fines up to ₩20 million (around 18,480 USD).

“The National Forensic Service reported to us that Hyun was not hit by another car before being hit by Daesung’s car,” the police announced this morning. “Our final conclusion is that [Hyun] was killed after being hit by Daesung’s car.” Although the injury was severe enough to be life threatening, it did not cause instant death. “Hyun had been collapsed on the ground for little over two minutes when Daesung’s car hit Hyun and dragged his body for 22.8 meters, causing his death,” said the police.

According to the police report, Hyun was intoxicated at the time of the accident. He had been driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.186 percent when he crashed into streetlamp and suffered a head injury.

This incident isn't the only one. Daesung got into another accident in 2009. The accident happened because he lost control of the vehicle and drove the car off and eventually crashed into another car. The idol singer who sang the song “Haru Haru” with his group BIGBANG, was himself injured having multiple fractures on his nose, spine, and even damaged the corner of his left eye.

The Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police office explained that Dae-sung was driving 80km/h at the time of the accident which is far from the road speed limit of 60km/h. There were no victims in this accident except Dae-sung, who got injured as a result of the incident, but fortunately, the news didn’t have a huge effect on his career because he was still a rookie back then.

4. Wendy from red velvet

The 25-year-old was slated to give an individual performance in an SBS show in Seoul when the incident happened during a rehearsal on Dec 25.

It's reported that Wendy was supposedly performing 'Speechless' (OST of 'Aladdin') for her special solo stage. Wendy walked down the tunnel and supposedly went down the stairs. Unfortunately, the stairs were not lifted at the right time and caused Wendy falling down from the height. According to various reports, the height was about 2 meters. The 2nd-floor tunnel was dark and narrow. The lift stairs weren’t ready either. Red Velvet’s Wendy rehearsed in that environment. If they at least put marking tape on the speicified areas, she wouldn’t have fallen.

"She has been given emergency treatment," SM noted, adding that it will make all efforts to ensure that her welfare is the top priority for the group for now. The Korean girl group's agency SM Entertainment said Wendy was immediately rushed to hospital, noting that she suffered fractures in her pelvis and wrist on the right side of her body as well as facial injuries.
