Best known for her roles in hit K-dramas such as Doctor Stranger and Misaeng: Incomplete Life, 30-year-old South Korean actress Kang Sora has confirmed that she will be tying the knot with her boyfriend. Actor Kang So-ra, 30, will tie the knot with her boyfriend on Aug. 29, she said in a letter on Monday. This shocks everyone as Kang Sora only known boyfriend is her ex, Hyun bin, the popular hallyu actor.

In a handwritten letter to her fans, the actress wrote,

“Everyone must be very surprised by the sudden news, but I'm here with good news that I met a partner whom I want to be with in the future,” Kang wrote.

“It has been 11 years since I debuted as an actor, and I was able to come all the way here thanks to my fans’ love and support. Thank you very much for always being by my side.

“To all the people who believed in me and supported me, I'll try my best to repay that trust with my happy marriage and my role as an actor,” she said.

The future husband’s name was not revealed as he is a non-celebrity and the couple would like to keep that private. Although with some digging, people said that it was a rich background in architechture

In the letter, Kang went on to thank her fans for their constant support throughout her 11-year acting career. The beloved actress rose to fame after starring in the blockbuster hit, Sunny back in 2011.

Kang had a little taste of the “married” life that same year as she was one of the celebrities participating in the popular Korean variety programme, We Got Married. In the show, she was paired with Super Junior’s Lee-Teuk and the two made a cute make-believe couple, parting ways at the end of the season.

Her agency Plum Actors announced their official statement:

“The wedding was scheduled for Aug. 29, but as the Covid-19 cases recently surged again, they will only have a small gathering with their parents,” the statement said.

“Kang will continue with her work as an actor, so please give a lot of blessings and support her. She is about to start a new chapter in her life."
