Jung Joon Young is a multi-talented Kpop star. He is a singer and songwriter. Not only that, Jung is also talented in acting, presenter, to DJ. Jung Joon-Young was born in South Korea. Due to his father's business, he moved to Jakarta, Indonesia as a child. He also lived in China, France, Philippines and Japan through his childhood and teen years. He moved back to South Korea at the age of 19 to pursue a music career.

Jung Joon Young's own name began to become widely known after he joined Mnet’s Television Superstar K4 reality talent show in 2012. In 2014 Jung released his second album, Teenager. In this album, Jung wrote six songs. OST Japanese TV drama titled Pretty Boy in 2014 was written by Jung Joon Young. Since then, Jung's talent for writing has been honed even more. He is also a fourth-degree black belt holder in Taekwondo. At 17, he went to the Philippines to do missionary work. He also started teaching Taekwondo and music to local children there. He went to South Korea without informing his family at the age of 19, to realize his dream. 

Jung made it third place. A year later, he joined the KBS 2 Day 1 Night Season 3 variety show. Jung became the youngest member of the event. Still in the same year, Jung released an album and received an award as Solo Male New Artist Artist. His musical collaboration with Roy Kim turned out to be the best duet audition song ever. The song dominated all the music charts and won Mnet 20's Choice Hot Cover. It also won 2013's Most Popular Karaoke Song of the Year at the 3rd Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards.

Not satisfied in the music world, Jung began testing his talent in acting. Jung Joon Young became one of the actors who starred in the film Forecast Love in 2015.
