Do you ever think that some of the back up dancers of your favorite idols group are too good to be just a back up dancer, that they have what it takes to be a popular idol and not someone without face / name? Well, there are several cases where some back up dancers become so popular and even have their own fans base,e g: Kasper. But in this article, we won't discuss about that further, we will try to discuss about some back up dancers who is actually debut as an idol! Here is our list:
1. Kang daniel and Jisung from wanna one
Kang Daniel was a backup dancer in a performance of the song “Invitation” by Uhm Jung Hwa that Cao Lu performed along with SPICA’s Park Sihyun on the show “Her Secret Weapon” in 2015.
2. X1 hangyul
Lee Hangyul to possibly turn into Minty's back dancer if he doesn't debut in Produce X. He was a backup dancer for Shannon's "Hello" before and even other several person. Hangyul was featured in UNB's Black Heart together with Jungha, Jueun and Anne.
3. Lee know straykids
Lee Know used to be a backup dancer for BTS, and now he's sitting beside them as a member of Stray Kids. Before debut Lee Know could be seen dancing for BTS, like their “Rainism” performance where he's on the far right.

7. Kim chungha
Since “Produce 101,” Kim Chungha has only seen success as she debuted with her former group I.O.I; she is also currently doing well as a solo artist. However, before all the fame, she performed as Ulala Session’s backup dancer. Even then, she was able to show off her strong dance skills. Recently, she briefly became a backup dancer for her manager, having promised to do so if she placed within the top 10 on music charts.

BTS members feature as back up dancers in a couple of Jo Kwon's music videos and live performances (J-Hope is even a guest rapper on "Animal").
9. Kain from argon
Kain of the new boy group ARGON talked about his past as a BTS backup dancer. On March 11, ARGON held the showcase for their 1st single 'Master Key.' Member Kain shared how he started dreaming of becoming an idol, and said, "In the past, I was active as a dancer and I got to make my debut as I wondered what it would be like if the cheers and shouts I hear on stage was for me."
10. Highligt do joon, Yong Junhyung, and Yang Yoseob
Yoon Doojoon, Yong Junhyung, and Yang Yoseob were back dancers for Lee Kikwang as one day, during their back dancer period, Yoon Doojoon and Yong Junhyung cried together and comforted one another in not having a dorm to live in as their living circumstances were miserable.
11. MONSTA X’s Shownu
Before he debuts, Shownu was one of Hyori's dancers for "Bad Girls", even getting some time in the spotlight with the singer.
12. MADTOWN’s Jota
He was a backup dancer in Lee Hyori's “Bad Girls” music video and in the promotions. Jota changed his position in Madtown from a rapper to vocalist. Early in January 2016, It was confirmed Jota would be a cast member of the Law of the Jungle in Tonga.
13. 9MUSES’s Kyungri
Kyungri talks about the truth about being an unknown back-up dancer and her passionate dancer days. The 25-year-old singer revealed she used to be a backup dancer during the initial days of her career. Kyungri apparently has worked with many famous singers before joining the South Korean girl group.
