SOME VERSATILE KOREAN ACTORS AND ACTRESS WHO HAS SHOWN US THEIR ACTING!

Keep in mind this is an opinion even though I tried to be as objective as I can be. You might not agree with this but I believe you can't deny some of actor and actress that mention in this list. After all they have shown amazing acting not only to one similar role, but they have tried to excel different genres too.

1. Han soo hee

Her break through project is when she played as some one who steal another woman husband. In a 2020 drama, titled as the world of the married, with the highest rating in K drama history so far, han so hee played a young rich lady who makes affair with one of her father’s employee. Many people hates her because of her role and they are unable to separate real life and fiction. Fortunately, she can change her image as an innocent woman who is naive and stupid in her next mature drama: nevertheless. After the drama ends, she keeps to challenge her self for another fresh role, and debut in her first action drama, my name. In the future, she plan to play a musical drama. Before the hit drama world of the married, han soo hee actually has played in three dramas, such as 100 days my prince and money flower. With all of her portfolio as great actress, many directors tries to hire her for their next projects.

2. Ji sung

A veteran actor who has played so many different roles though out his career. He is best known for his roles in the television dramas All In, Save the Last Dance for Me, New Heart, Protect the Boss, Secret Love, Kill Me, Heal Me, Innocent Defendant, Familiar Wife, Doctor John, The Devil Judge. His acting skill is not debatable anymore. Many critics and general people compliments his acting and wide of choice of roles. In his personal life, he is married into a famous actress lee boyoung. The year 2017 ended as a huge celebration for actor Ji Sung and actress Lee Bo-young who both received prizes at the SBS Acting Awards. Ji Sung received the grand prize for his performance as Park Jung-woo, a prosecutor-turned-death row inmate who is wrongfully accused of killing his wife and daughter in the SBS drama "Defendant."

3. Nam da reum

Nam Da-reum (born June 13, 2002) is a South Korean actor. He began his career as a child actor, having played young versions of the leading characters in several popular Korean dramas, and best known for his lead role in Beautiful World. Although he is still young, but he has pockets several role, especially as the younger version of lead actor. He can easily changes his emotion, face and way of talk. No wonder he has already get several best young actor award from any television broadcast network such as sbs, kbs and mbc. He also won a blue dragon award in 2021.

4. Gong hyo jin

She is not so beautiful like other korean actresses. She is also famous for her acting ability. She won the hearts of her fans with her charm of acting, not beauty. She doesn’t want to play the typical innocent korean girl, instead she is interested in playing meaty woman without doing nude scenes. All of her chosen role is always interesting and kinda different. Several of her popular drama are master sun, it’s okay that’s love, jealous incarnation, the producers and more. She also has won several prestigious awards in her career.

5. Kim go eun

She also doesn’t fall in the catagory of standard Korean beauty. She got fame at her young age because of her acting capability. Her breakthough drama project that makes her name known nationally and internationally are hit drama, goblin. She played a bright high schoolgirl who is the destined bride of the goblin. She makes viewers laugh, giggle & cry through this one. On another drama such as monster and coin locmer girl, she shows exactly different role. Here she played the role of a violent aggressive girl who was found in a coin-operated locker of train station & brought up by a loan shark Godmother. 6. Yoo ah in

For me the most versatile actor in South Korea is none other than Yoo Ah In. He has cast in various different characters and have exposure in all genres. He is quite famous for his historical roles in Six Flying Dragons, The Throne, Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Jang Ok-jung, Living by Love. Especially, he is known of his acting skill more than his looks, after all he doesn’t have that kind of ideal look for many kdrama.
