JH: to choose the most meaningful moment, it would be successfully finishing our first tour. I have learnt a lot and i have been thinking much about becoming more mature next year. Also, it's the first time having some time for myself since debut. I have been learning things that I personally wanted to learn. of course, we are also busy preparing for the year-end shows.
Does it make you more nervous shooting individual photoshoots or being an MC, going alone instead as a team?
JH: rather than being nervous, there are more things to take note of. When I was mc-ing alone at <Inkigayo>, the members sent me messages supporting me so I didn't really feel lonely. With different concepts and styles, your images changes accordingly. When you had black hair, czennies say you look like a "prince", when you have blue hair, you became a "bad man"?
JH: haha firstly, thank you. I think this can become a big strength of mine. Having different faces(images) is a good thing. Personally, it's really fun. Changing every now and then. From strong, hip-hop, warm to even nerdy... i like every concept.
NCT's music is spreading globally. As NCT is a group who already have this goal since debut, the sense of accomplishment must been even greater. Are you happy with the speed (of progress) now?
JH: There isn't any plans or expected speed for us. So we aren't sure if we are going fast or slow but I feel we are moving forward steadily. The sense of accomplishment, grows a little more whenever we perform as there are more fans supporting us. I can feel we are progressing little by little complimenting that I'm doing well made me have even more fun learning. I have always liked sports and I always wanted to try boxing, luckily I had some time to learn it.

You are into boxing recently?
JH: I started about 3 months ago. (Then you're enjoying it the most now right?) yes, at the peak of liking it haha.
I'm slowly starting to learn skills now, the instructor says a sports that matches well (with me),
What sports did you like?
JH: I'm always into ball games. When I was in school, I did soccer, basketball and badminton. (What's your soccer position?) something like a midfielder? but it was school soccer... the position wasn't very important haha
Can Jaehyun adapt to the "diversity"? We are also curious how Jaehyun is able to change according to every different NCT unit.
JH: According to what each unit emphasizes on, whether it's vocals or performance, it would be changed a little. Every concept and colour goes together. I want to continue having my own kind of vocal tone. Whereas for my life, i think my role would remain the same the way it is haha.
NCT Jaehyun has perfectly infused into Jung Yoon Oh's daily life.
JH: that's right. but I still feel nervous. actually,being too frozen up was one of the things I was very worried about when I just debuted.
What's Jaehyun's strength to proceed further?
JH: I realised it even strongly recently, after finishing the tour. That is, "Wow, it's a good thing I became a singer". It was the first time we were able to perform on our own stage, in front of our fans only.
Internationally, they call it the Kpop boom, but what's the key to NCT's unqiue music?
JH: hm... at the start, we explained it as having a 'neo' concept. From there, we pushed through with our concept, as we challenge new concepts, there's lesser fear. For example, the keyword for today's shoot is 'universe', somehow things that are more difficult tend to have less fear. Likewise for music and performance, we will continue challenging new concepts. You can look forward to the diverse sides( (of us).
I feel like after boxing, your body and mind would feel "sluggish"...
JH: no really, after the lesson ended I couldn't feel my hand. I was using my phone but my hand was shaking... haha. but after it, I feel refreshed.
Are the cities you went on tour as beautiful as they are captured in the videos?
JH: honestly, we weren't in the right mind during the tour. But, we are able to look around when there's filming, I think only then we can have fun looking around. In this tour, it's my first time going to Europe, it was so good. The roads are pretty and just looking at the scenery is healing... I thought of wanting to go back for holiday trip to look around as much as I want.
For the rest of winter & new year, what's one thing you would want to do in your bucketlist?
JH: going for skiing since I haven't went since debut... I used to like it a lot so I hope to go for board skiing. I think I have too much new year wishes? Practising playing the piano just by looking at the chords. Doing things in a variety of ways.
