Suicide rate is quiet high generally in South Korea, and the pressure of keeping a clean image all the time make someone depressed. Even those who fight it and managed to get back up, still struggle and fight with their inner mind. Here are several KPOP idols who battle with their black dogs (depression):

During the 2014 Healing Camp episode, IU revealed how she had experienced bulimia (a type of serious and potentially life-threatening eating disorder). IU said that her heart felt empty and she feel worried all the time because of her thought that she was not a talented singer. To fill the void, IU ate until she vomits. Fortunately, IU sought treatment and is believed to have successfully overcome the eating disorder.

Suzy is famous as Korea's sweetheart because she has the beauty, fame, wealth, and love of her people. She said that his crying was the result of feeling crushed under the burden of so many people's hopes at the Healing Camp. It seems she also struggled with the depression. In 2013, Suzy cried during the Gu Family Book press conference due to pressure. She might feel pressure acting with more mature and adult environment when she was still young, yet expected to act like an adult.

Nam Taehyun revealed that he also suffered from insomnia and depression. He told fans that he had difficulty managing his anger and had received professional help. During the broadcast, a fan told the former WINNER member that he struggled with insomnia and depression. He believed with his fans , he could overcome their interference.
