FUN FACTS ABOUT KPOP 

 1: Idol concept group
Every idol who will appear for the first time to the public or debut, must have a concept that will stick with them as long as they are active as an idol. Like EXO with the concept of supernatural power up to NCT as a unit group of Sm entertainment.

2. SM, YG and JYP: Big Three (But later, a big hit replaces YG as Big 3)
All your favorite idols like BigBang, Super Junior to 2PM; Everyone must have a company that houses them. S.M Entertainment which houses big idols such as Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee to EXO and NCT can be completed as entertainment companies in South Korea founded by Lee Soo Man in 1995 with its legendary pink icon.

Followed by YG Entertainment, which oversees 2NE1, BigBang to the latest Blackpink is an entrepreneurial company founded by Yang Hyun Suk, a former member of boy group Seo Taiji & Boys, which was accepted after S.M Entertainment arrived in 1996.

Followed by JYP which was founded by Jinyoung Park or commonly known as JYP, a singer, famous songwriter who played in 1997 with JYP who successfully orphaned many favorite idols like 2PM, Wonder Girls to Twice.

3: Promotion of songs to music shows
When a group has made a comeback to promote their new song. Every time an idol group will appear in 6 music shows at once every week. Usually the intervals for the groups return are few months in between one comeback to another.

4: Idol is not paid until the 'debt' is paid off
Before the oppas and beloved eonni debuted as the current idol group, they had to go through hard days as trainees.As long as they become trainees and practice tens to hundreds of hours, the company will at least make an 'investment' in their trainees by conducting training and maintenance that the trainees hope will succeed at their debut.

Normally, idols will not get a salary until their 'debt' when the trainees are paid off. But usually this does not apply to large companies such as S.M and JYP. Unique fact number 5: Of the 100 groups that debut, only 5% survive each year
Every year, there are at least more than 100 groups that will debut for the first time in various music shows in South Korea.

But unfortunately, not all succeed and survive to compete with other groups. At least only 5% survive and continue their journey as an idol group.

6. Idols are the fastest winners on music shows
When the idols perform on music shows, the winner will be chosen every week based on the voting done. This voting event was used by fans as proof of their appreciation for the new idol's new album.

In the record idol group that won the fastest music event currently held by Blackpink, only 13 days after they first debuted with the song Whistle on the SBS Inkigayo show.

7: SHINHWA, The Idol God who survived for almost 20 years
Shinhwa can be said to be the longest standing idol group in the South Korean music scene for almost 20 years. Consisting of six member members (Eric Mun, Lee Minwoo, Kim Dongwan, Shin Hyesung, Jun Jin and Andy Lee), Shinhwa first appeared in 1998 and debuted with the song Resolver. At first Shinwha debuted under the auspices of SM Entertainment, but his contract ended in 2003 and decided to continue their careers under the new entertainment auspices, Good Entertainment.
